Expressing values through film |
|
| Integrity in the face of difficult choices, perseverance despite frustration, trust when plagued with doubt, these are |
powerful, positive but complex values. They are not easy to describe in words but by launching this large-scale video contest, the Federation aims to instill clearer understanding. We hope that through the medium of film young people will articulate positive and balanced attitudes, with creative images from everyday life.
Online media have made sharing video clips very popular, especially by the young, and the winning films in this Hang Seng Bank Chinese Youth Film Contest will help build the HKFYG Values Video Library, a collection accessible by schools. At the official launch on 20 April, Mr. William Leung (Executive Director and Head of Personal Banking, Hang Seng Bank Ltd)
will be the Guest of Honour. Mr Yung Wai-mi, a veteran film director, and Ms Yeung Siu-fong, a Paralympic swimmer, will also attend. Ms Yeung lost both her arms at the age of 9 and will feature in one of Mr Yung's inspiring films.
