Learning with multimedia
Young people have always learned through a variety of media. Once it was two-dimensional objects like
blackboards and picture books. Now it is mobile internet devices, e-readers and tablet computers. These gadgets are part of the young person's world. With them, educators capture attention. Through them, young people become ever more engaged in a multimedia learning process.

Many parents and teachers are already familiar with the phenomenon of online homework. It makes full use of multimedia resources, interactivity and collaboration. As the price of such technology drops so it becomes affordable for an increasing number of Hong Kong schools. The Federation is proactive in this field, with its u21, uPortal and uChannel as just some examples of providing connectivity with the youthful world of multimedia.
