Policy Address
Webcast chats: The CE, Policy Secretaries and young people
This morning the Chief Executive (CE)
delivered the last Policy Address of his tenure. To give young people the opportunity to comment on the Address and ask questions in areas of particular pertinence to them, including education, employment and housing, the Federation has organized a live webcast dialogue session with the CE.

This webcast will begin at 7pm on Monday 17 October and the young people's questions will be taken through u21, the HKFYG website and on Facebook.

By using the medium of webcasts, it is believed that young people are more likely to participate given their familiarity and expertise with the format. Through this active participation, the Federation hopes that they will broaden their analytical abilities and gain confidence in further engaging in the public process.

Other webcast dialogue sessions will be held with Secretaries for the Environment, Education and Labour and Welfare, the details of which are in the News below.

When does a bad habit become an addiction? What makes young people become addicted and who can help them? These are some of the key questions addressed in this issue of Youth Hong Kong. It puts the spotlight on HKFYG's new Youth Wellness Centre.
Young addicts talk about their problems and medical specialists, social workers and young volunteers describe experiences with them. Statistics capture a snapshot of the situation in Hong Kong and abroad.

Also in this issue: leadership attributes, fasting, pink dolphins, working abroad, martial arts and active video games.
